Silver (XAGUSD)

Silver (XAGUSD) trades against the US dollar and shares gold's sensitivity to US real yields and dollar strength, but with an added industrial-demand component — silver is used heavily in electronics, solar panels, and other manufacturing, so it also reacts to US growth and manufacturing data in a way gold does not.

What moves Silver?

USD

US interest-rate and inflation releases move silver for the same monetary reasons they move gold — higher real yields raise the cost of holding non-yielding metal — while US manufacturing and industrial-production data add a second, growth-linked demand channel specific to silver.
