Data / Currency Heatmap
29 pairs, colored by today’s move.
Every cross among the 8 most-traded currencies, plus USD/CNY on its own daily clock. It’s the same live rates behind the Strength Meter, just read pair by pair instead of currency by currency.
No pair has a fresh 24-hour comparison yet. Check back once today’s first full cycle of data has landed.
How to read this
The 28 colored cells are derived math, not extra data: Traderista already fetches 7 USD pairs every 30 minutes, and every other cross (EURGBP, AUDJPY, and so on) is computed from those 7. Zero additional API calls. Green means the row currency gained on the column currency; red means it lost. Darker shading marks the biggest moves on the grid right now, not a fixed threshold.
The USD/CNY cell below the grid runs on its own clock: China’s onshore rate updates once a day, not every 30 minutes, so it’s kept separate and labeled “Daily” rather than mixed into the fast-moving grid.
Frequently asked questions
Why 29 pairs and not every possible currency cross?
28 pairs cover every combination of the 8 most-traded currencies (the same basket the Strength Meter uses). That's already every cross that matters intraday. The 29th, USD/CNY, is added on its own daily clock rather than a full 8-way CNY grid, since CNY only has one live rate to begin with.
Where do the cross-rate numbers come from?
They're triangulated, not fetched separately: EURGBP, for example, is computed as EURUSD ÷ GBPUSD from the same 7 pairs "update-rates" already pulls every 30 minutes. Traderista never shows the underlying price level, only the resulting % change.
Why is the grid empty right now?
A cell only renders once every one of the 7 underlying pairs has a real 24-hour-old snapshot to compare against. Until that's true for all 7 at once, the grid shows an honest empty state instead of a partial or guessed matrix.
